I also don't want to have to rely on internal Mic Preamps on the cameras and since there can be up to two people with Lapel Mics on at a given time, so I want to keep those audio sources separate and consistent. I have a plethora of Boutique Mic Preamps, and don't want to have to be constantly relocating them, plus, it's probably way overkill using those for spoken word. Plus, I can use it in my recording studio to run UA plugins down the road. I want to be able to use it's Unison Mic Preamps as well as Compressor and EQ on the way in. My plan is by buy a UA Apollo MKII (No Wordclock as far as I know), well unless the announce something better in a few days. I'm just an anal type person, who does over analyze everything to death, so I've I'm going to do something, I have to do it right. I know I can do the whole 'Clap' thing and use the peak of the waveform to sync everything, and I could still use the existing camera mic's to align the external audio with the video.

I know how to do it on my Protools Ultimate Rig that's in my studio, but its not practical to use that system to record the audio for the training video's. However, I'm not sure how to Sync my MacBook Pro and audio device (Apollo Twin MKII) to the cameras. Syncing Cameras seems fairly easy, with something like this: I want to be able to Sync a combination of DSLR Cameras, GoPro's, Logic Pro/Pro Tools all while recording live.

I get this section is not full of amateurs, so be kind by not making too much fun of me. Slate Digitals Virtual Console Collection is available in all major native formats, and is worthy of special attention for a number of reasons, one being that its development was led by Fabrice Gabriel, the man behind Slates remarkable FGX mastering processor and Eiosiss superb E2 Deesser and Transienter. I can obviously get a Thunderbolt hub, but my question is: what (if anything) is okay to gang through a hub, and what absolutely must remain in a dedicated Thunderbolt port? In the time since I've been using PT11 on a now-old MacMini, I see that iLok has the internet option now, which, if I figure it out, would at least eliminate that dongle in one port. Thunderbolt -> Ethernet (for two Artist Mix units, which will be used via a Netgear unmanaged switch going into the MB Pro.) I chose this since the Artist Mix units I got will be putting me well over my port limit. Also apologies if this should be in a different section of the forum. I searched for keywords and didn't come up with anything directly on point, but I can't imagine people with MB Pros don't ask this all the time. I have now received all of the things listed below, but I haven't set them up yet, as the new project studio room is still being built.ДЄpologies if this question is asked a bunch.
